NCAA Game Summary - UC Santa Barbara at Hawaii

Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Alan Williams scored 20 points to go with 17 rebounds and five blocks as the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos collected a 75-64 victory over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in a Big West Conference joust at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Michael Bryson added 18 points for UCSB (15-6, 6-2 Big West), which has won six of its last seven. Taran Brown chipped in 13 points and Zalmico Harmon tallied 10.

Isaac Fotu led the way for Hawaii (15-7, 4-4) with 17 points. Christian Standhardinger tacked on 15 points and nine rebounds and Brandon Spearman contributed 11 points.

At halftime the Rainbow Warriors held a slim, 37-34, lead. They were able to connect on 40 percent of their field goal tries and limit the Gauchos to 35.5 percent shooting.

UCSB heated up to 53.8 percent shooting, including a 5-of-9 showing from beyond the arc, in the second half. Hawaii fell off the pace, recording just nine field goals in the frame.

The Rainbow Warriors lost despite a 40-28 scoring edge in the paint.
