NCAA Game Summary - Chattanooga at Eastern Kentucky

Richmond, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Glenn Cosey led the way with 19 points as the Eastern Kentucky Colonels handed a 74-63 defeat to the Chattanooga Mocs in a non-conference matchup at McBrayer Arena.

For the Colonels (17-7), Corey Walden added 16 points and four steals, Marcus Lewis finished with 13 points and three steals and Orlando Williams scored 10. With the win, the Colonels set a new program record with their 22nd straight non-conference home victory.

Z. Mason led all scorers with 23 points to go along with 12 rebounds to lead the Mocs (15-10), while Martynas Bareika chipped in with 12 points.

EKU took a 42-36 lead at the break by hitting 50 percent of its shots from the field, including 3-of-9 from 3-point distance. Chattanooga also shot 50 percent but took eight fewer shots in the half.

The Colonels struggled from the field in the second, making just 31 percent of their field goals, but again had more opportunities, taking nearly three times as many shots as the Mocs, 29-11. The Mocs made the most of their shots, connecting at a 63.6 percent rate, but were ultimately done in by turnovers, as the Colonels forced 15 in the second half as they held off the Mocs down the stretch to secure the victory.

For the game, EKU forced 24 turnovers and converted them into 25 points. The Colonels also outscored the Mocs in the paint, 40-26.
