NCAA Game Summary - La Salle at Saint Joseph's

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Paced by Tyreek Duren's 27 points, the La Salle Explorers upset the cross-town rival Saint Joseph's Hawks, 71-63, in the Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season finale at Hagan Arena.

Duren knocked down 16-of-17 at the free-throw line for La Salle (15-15, 7-9 A-10), which has won three of four. Jerrell Wright tallied a double-double for the visitors with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Langston Galloway shot 5-of-9 from 3-point range and 8-of-8 at the foul line to match a game-high with 27 points for Saint Joseph's (21-9, 11-5), which closed out the regular season with back-to-back losses but will still earn a bye into the quarterfinals of the A-10 Tournament. DeAndre Bembry had 15 points and five assists, Ronald Roberts netted 13 and Halil Kanacevic brought down 12 rebounds.

La Salle shot just 37.9 percent from the field in the first half, but Saint Joseph's was even worse at 30.8 percent, as the Explorers took a 33-23 lead into intermission. The visitors strung together a 21-5 run over the final nine minutes of the frame.

Although the Hawks' field goal efficiency improved to 48.3 percent after halftime, they could never closer than three points of the lead. The Explorers kept Saint Joseph's at bay by shooting 17-of-20 at the free-throw line over the final 20 minutes.

The Hawks were plagued by a game-high 14 turnovers, which the Explorers turned into 17 points.
