NCAA Game Summary - Miami-Ohio at Kent State

Kent, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Will Felder tied a season high with 26 points to go with nine rebounds, as the Miami-Ohio RedHawks downed the Kent State Golden Flashes, 73-61, in a Mid-American Conference clash at the MAC Center.

Felder shot 10-of-18 from the field and 6-of-7 at the foul line for Miami (12-16, 8-9 MAC), which has won three of four. Willie Moore and Will Sullivan netted 14 and 13 points, respectively.

For Kent State (16-14, 7-10), losers of three of its last four contests, Devareaux Manley poured in 12 points off the bench and Mark Henniger and K.K. Simmons scored 11 points apiece.

Miami took a commanding 45-25 lead at the half by shooting a blistering 63 percent from the field in the opening stanza, which included a perfect 7-of-7 showing from 3-point range. Kent State lagged significantly behind at just 38.5 percent shooting.

The Golden Flashes improved their field goal efficiency to 44.4 percent in the second half but could never get closer than eight points of the lead.

Although Miami lost the rebounding battle (29-28), it outscored Kent State in the paint, 34-24.
