NCAA Game Summary - Loyola-Chicago at Bradley

Peoria, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Behind 16 points from Walt Lemon, Jr., the Bradley Braves downed the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers, 55-38, in a Missouri Valley Conference matchup at Carver Arena.

For the Braves (12-16, 7-8 MVC), Tyshon Pickett added eight points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Christian Thomas led the Ramblers (9-19, 4-12), who shot only 26.5 percent from the field, with nine points.

Both teams struggled from the field to start the contest. Bradley was the worse of the two, making just 25.9 percent of its field goal tries in the first half. Loyola was little better, hitting on 29.2 percent, but it was the Braves who held a narrow lead at the break, 19-17.

After intermission, Bradley came alive, knocking down 52.2 percent of its field goal tries, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. The Braves outscored the Ramblers 23-5 over the first 10 minutes of the second half to put the game away.

Loyola committed 23 turnovers, which Bradley converted into 17 points.
