NCAA Game Summary - La Salle at George Washington

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Isaiah Armwood logged a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds and the George Washington Colonials topped the La Salle Explorers, 69-47, in an Atlantic 10 Conference contest at the Smith Center.

Kevin Larsen and Maurice Creek both scored 15 points for the Colonials (17-3, 5-1 A-10), who have won five straight games. Patricio Garino added 10 points in the win.

Tyreek Duren scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Explorers (11-9, 3-3), who are the only team in the conference to beat George Washington this season but dropped their third straight. No other La Salle players scored in double digits in the defeat.

The Colonials looked strong early on, shooting 52.4 percent on field goal attempts in the opening half. The Explorers shot just 31 percent and went into halftime trailing, 38-23.

George Washington shot an identical field goal percentage in the second half as it ran away with the game. Meanwhile, La Salle shot a dismal 23.1 percent on just six made field goals. The Colonials' lead swelled to 24 points inside the final two minutes.

The Colonials established a strong inside game, outrebounding the Explorers, 42-30, and outscoring them in the paint, 30-16, in the one-sided affair.
