NCAA Game Summary - George Washington at St. Bonaventure

St. Bonaventure, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Maurice Creek scored 21 points as the George Washington Colonials edged out the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 79-71, in Atlantic 10 play at Reilly Center.

Kethan Savage netted 17 points, dished out five assists and recorded four steals for George Washington (15-3, 3-1 A-10). Kevin Larsen added 15 points and eight rebounds in the win. The Colonials have won three in a row and four of their last five.

Andell Cumberbatch scored a team-high 15 points before fouling out for St. Bonaventure (11-7, 1-3). Youssou Ndoye chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds, while Jordan Gathers contributed 12 and Dion Wright added 11 points and seven rebounds. The Bonnies have lost three in a row.

George Washington shot 37 percent in the first half, including 4-of-11 from 3- point range, and trailed 30-29 at the half. St. Bonaventure went ahead in the first frame on 40 percent shooting from the floor.

The Colonials stole the show in the second period, hitting 58.3 percent of their shots, including 5-of-8 from deep. The Bonnies connected on 36.4 percent of their shots in the half.

George Washington held the lead in points off turnovers, 22-16, but was outscored by St. Bonaventure in bench points, 23-12.
