NCAA Game Summary - Seton Hall at Butler

Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Kellen Dunham had 29 points on 11-of-14 shooting as the Butler Bulldogs rolled past the Seton Hall Pirates, 71-54, in a Big East Conference showdown at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Khyle Marshall and Elijah Brown each scored 10 points, while Kameron Woods cleared nine boards for the Bulldogs (14-16, 4-14 Big East), who have won two straight games. Butler clinched the ninth-seed in the Big East Tournament with the win and will face Seton Hall in the opening round.

Patrik Auda finished with 22 points for the Pirates (15-16, 6-12), who have lost four of their last five games. Sterling Gibbs added 11 points while Eugene Teague chipped in 10 and six rebounds.

Butler shot 53.8 percent from the field, including 8-of-13 from 3-point range, in the first period as it led 40-30 at intermission. Seton Hall connected on 47.8 percent of its field goal tries.

The Bulldogs made 47.6 percent of their field goal attempts in the second half as that proved good enough to cruise to the win. Butler started the frame on an 8-0 run and never felt any pressure from the Pirates.

Despite the loss, Seton Hall dominated play inside by outscoring Butler 30-12 in the paint.
