NCAA Game Summary - UNLV at Nevada

Reno, NV (SportsNetwork.com) - Deonte Burton posted 24 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds, as the Nevada Wolf Pack came from behind to take down the UNLV Runnin' Rebels, 76-72, in the regular-season Mountain West Conference finale at the Lawlor Events Center.

Cole Huff pitched in 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting from the floor, including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc for Nevada (15-16, 10-8 MWC), which has won back- to-back games. Michael Perez added 11 points and five assists for the hosts.

For UNLV (19-12, 10-8), losers of two straight, Deville Smith and Jelan Kendrick netted 16 points apiece, Khem Birch scored 15 and hauled in a career- high 22 rebounds and Kevin Olekaibe had 10 points.

Despite shooting just 34.9 percent from the field in the first half, UNLV took a 41-35 lead into the break by knocking down 7-of-15 from beyond the arc.

After shooting 41.9 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes, Nevada improved to 51.6 percent in the second half as it mounted a comeback. Trailing by 17 with under 16 minutes to play, the Wolf Pack pieced together a 26-6 run to take a three-point lead with 7:25 left. The score was tied with 33 seconds remaining when Huff knocked down the game-winning jumper for Nevada.

Nevada committed just six turnovers on the evening, compared to 11 for UNLV.
