NCAA Game Summary - Wake Forest at Miami-Florida

Coral Gables, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Garrius Adams tallied 22 points and seven rebounds to lift the Miami-Florida Hurricanes to a 69-56 win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in the regular season finale for both Atlantic Coast Conference programs at the BankUnited Center.

Adams hit on 6-of-8 shots from the floor and made all nine of his free-throw attempts for the Hurricanes (16-15, 7-11 ACC), who also received 19 points courtesy of Rion Brown. Erik Swoope added 10 points, Tonye Jekiri grabbed nine boards and Manu Lecomte handed out six assists.

Coron Williams paced Wake Forest (16-15, 6-12) with 17 points, while Codi Miller-McIntyre dealt out six assists.

Miami outrebounded the Demon Deacons, 24-12, and shot 39.3 percent from the floor in the opening half. Wake Forest went into the intermission trailing, 29-23, after it recorded five less field goal attempts and went just 1-of-6 at the charity stripe in the first half.

The Hurricanes heated up to sink 68.2 percent of their field goal tries after the break. Wake Forest could not narrow the gap despite shooting an even 50 percent from the floor in the second stanza.

Miami dominated on the interior as it outscored the visitors, 30-22, in the paint and enjoyed a 38-19 edge in the rebounding battle.
