NCAA Game Summary - Baylor at Kansas State

Manhattan, KS (SportsNetwork.com) - Kenny Chery poured in a career-high 29 points, as the Baylor Bears out-lasted the Kansas State Wildcats, 76-74, in the Big 12 Conference regular-season finale for both teams at Bramlage Coliseum.

Cory Jefferson chipped in with 16 points to help the Bears (21-10, 9-9 Big 12) close out their schedule with a third consecutive victory and seven of eight overall.

Marcus Foster had 29 points to pace the Wildcats (20-11, 10-8), who lost both of the season's head-to-head matchups with Baylor for the first time ever. Thomas Gipson tallied 16 points and seven rebounds in the loss, while Nino Williams recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards.

The Wildcats shot just 39 percent from the floor in the first half, but they made 14-of-16 free throws and outscored Baylor by 11 at the charity stripe to claim a 33-25 lead at the break.

K-State stretched its lead to as many as 12 early in the second stanza before Baylor began to chip away at the deficit. The Bears went on to shoot 56 percent from the floor and make 20-of-24 free throws over the final 20 minutes as they overtook the lead. They made 17 consecutive free throws down the stretch to keep the Wildcats at bay.

The loss snapped the Wildcats' school-record 15-game win streak at Bramlage Coliseum.
