NCAA Game Summary - Princeton at Cornell

Ithaca, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - T.J. Bray and Will Barrett each finished with 21 points to lead the Princeton Tigers over the Cornell Big Red, 91-51, in Ivy League action at Newman Arena.

Bray added eight rebounds and five assists for the Tigers (18-8, 6-6 Ivy), winners of three-straight, while Clay Wilson scored 16 and Spencer Weisz pulled down 12 rebounds.

This was the sixth loss in a row for the Big Red (2-25, 1-12), who were paced by Nolan Cressler with 16 points, while Devin Cherry added 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and Dwight Tarwater chipped in with 12 points.

The Tigers took control from the opening tip, starting the game on a 25-0 run and were comfortably ahead at the break, 44-26. Princeton connected on 53.3 percent of its field goals in the half, including a scorching 10-of-16 from beyond the arc. Cornell was held to just 34.6 percent shooting from the field in the opening stanza.

Princeton was even more accurate in the second half, knocking down 78.3 percent of its shots from the floor, and saw its lead balloon to as many a 40 in the half. The Tigers continued to play excellent defense as well, limiting the Big Red to a meager 32 percent shooting after intermission.

The Tigers dominated in the paint, outscoring the Big Red 36-20. Princeton scored from the outside as well, finishing the contest with a 42-15 scoring advantage from beyond the arc.
