NCAA Game Summary - Utah at California

Berkeley, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Taylor scored 13 points with four rebounds to help lead his Utah Utes over the California Golden Bears, 63-59, in a Pac-12 Conference tilt at Haas Pavilion.

Jordan Loveridge netted 12 points with six rebounds, but missed all five of his 3-point tries on the night for Utah (20-9, 9-8 Pac-12). Delon Wright chipped in 11 points with a team-high nine rebounds. The Utes have won three consecutive contests.

Richard Solomon tallied a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds to pace California (18-12, 9-8). Tyrone Wallace was the only other Golden Bears player in double figures, netting 11 points with six rebounds. Justin Cobbs dished out seven assists to lead the team, which has lost three straight games.

Utah connected on 42.3 percent of its field goal tries in the first half, including 2-of-7 from 3-point range, to take a slim 26-24 lead into the intermission. California hit 40.9 percent of its shots in the frame, and went 4-of-9 from 3-point distance.

The Utes dropped drastically in terms of shooting accuracy in the second half, hitting just 29 percent from the floor and 3-of-11 from deep. The Golden Bears shot 37.5 percent in the period, and went 1-of-7 from beyond the arc. Utah added two points to its two-point first-half advantage, which provided the cushion for the win.

Utah outscored California in points in the paint, 26-16, and had the edge in points off turnovers, 17-4.
