NCAA Game Summary - Texas Tech at Kansas

Lawrence, KS (SportsNetwork.com) - Tarik Black didn't miss from the field in his final game at Allen Fieldhouse and logged a game-high 19 points as No. 8 Kansas closed out its home slate with a thorough 82-57 pasting of Texas Tech.

Black shot 9-for-9 from the floor and Perry Ellis was also perfect on 4-for-4 shooting in a 13-point effort for the Big 12 champs (23-7, 14-3 Big 12), who appeared fully recovered from a loss at Oklahoma State over the weekend.

Naadir Tharpe chipped in with 16 points, and freshman Andrew Wiggins, a projected high NBA Draft lottery pick likely playing his final game in front of the Jayhawk faithful, netted nine.

Toddrick Gotcher logged 10 points in a sixth straight loss for the Red Raiders (13-17, 5-12), who shot just 35.3 percent from the floor.

Texas Tech only made one field goal over the final nine minutes of the first half, and a 13-0 Kansas run, highlighted by Black's dunk, helped the Jayhawks take a healthy 39-19 lead into the intermission.

Kansas scored nine points on its first three possessions after the break to go up by 26, 48-22, as Wiggins and Tharpe each knocked down 3-point tries and Ellis converted a three-point play.

Consecutive offensive putbacks by Black made it a 30-point game with 15 minutes left, and the benches emptied shortly thereafter.
