NCAA Game Summary - Wyoming at Utah State

Logan, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarred Shaw tallied a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead his Utah State Aggies over the Wyoming Cowboys, 65-54, in a Mountain West Conference bout at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Spencer Butterfield scored 12 points and brought down nine rebounds for Utah State (17-13, 7-11 MWC). Kyle Davis came off the bench to notch a double- double with 11 points and 14 boards, and TeNale Roland contributed 10 points in the win, which was the second in a row for the Aggies that capped off their regular season.

Josh Adams led all scorers in the contest with 21 points for Wyoming (17-13, 8-9), while Nathan Sobey netted 14 points with a team-high nine rebounds. The Cowboys have dropped four consecutive contests.

Wyoming connected on 38.7 percent of its shot attempts in the first half, and hit just 3-of-13 from 3-point range, but still took a 29-26 lead into the intermission. Utah State hit 40 percent of its field goal tries in the frame, but only managed just 1-of-8 from 3-point distance.

The Aggies improved in the second half by shooting 44.8 percent from the floor, and connecting on 10-of-13 from the free-throw line. The Cowboys dropped down to 33.3 percent shooting in the period, hitting just 2-of-11 from deep and 5-of-9 from the charity stripe. Utah State outscored Wyoming in the half, 39-25, to easily erase the first-half Cowboys lead.

Utah State outscored Wyoming from the free-throw line in the contest, 15-7, and had a significant edge in rebounding, 47-27. The Cowboys held the advantage in points off turnovers, 13-2.
