NCAA Game Summary - TCU at Texas

Austin, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Led by 21 points from Isaiah Taylor, the Texas Longhorns downed the TCU Horned Frogs, 66-54, in a Big 12 Conference matchup at the Erwin Center.

For the Longhorns (22-8, 11-6 Big 12) two players finished with double- doubles, as Cameron Ridley scored 14 and pulled down 10 rebounds and Connor Lammert finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Kyan Anderson led all scorers with 28 points for the Horned Frogs (9-20, 0-17), while Jarvis Ray had a double-double of his own with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Texas shot 44.1 percent from the field and missed all but one of its 10 tries from 3-point range in the first half. The Longhorns went into intermission with a 36-27 advantage by holding TCU to just 34.8 percent shooting from the floor.

After the break, both teams struggled to get the ball in the hoop. Texas was the better of the two, shooting just 33.3 percent from the field and 1-of-6 from beyond the arc. The Horned Frogs were unable to take advantage though, as they shot an abysmal 19.4 percent from the field in the second half. TCU got as close as six points late in the half, but could get no closer as the Longhorns finished them off for the victory.

Texas dominated in the paint, outscoring TCU 30-14, and outrebounding the Horned Frogs, 48-32. The Horned Frogs had the advantage on the free-throw line, finishing with a 23-16 scoring edge.
