NCAA Game Summary - Miami-Florida at Clemson

Clemson, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Rod Hall tallied 14 points and six assists to lift the Clemson Tigers to an 58-54 win over the Miami-Florida Hurricanes in an Atlantic Coast Conference bout at Littlejohn Coliseum.

K.J. McDaniels scored 12 points and came up one rebound shy of a double-double for the Tigers (19-10, 10-7 ACC) and Damarcus Harrison also netted 12 points. The victory was the fourth in five games by Clemson.

Rion Brown paced Miami (15-15, 6-11) with 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the floor, while Erik Swoope added 14 points.

Clemson connected on 50 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half despite its 1-of-7 clip from 3-point range. Although the Hurricanes knocked down 52 percent of their shots from the floor before the break, the game went into the intermission tied at 27.

The Tigers did not trail on the scoreboard at any point in the second half. Miami made only 1-of-9 shots from beyond the arc after the intermission. Clemson converted 8-of-13 free-throw attempts and went 3-of-7 from behind the 3-point line in the second stanza.

The Tigers outscored the visitors, 12-2, at the charity stripe and enjoyed a 31-23 edge in the rebounding battle.
