NCAA Game Summary - Gonzaga at Saint Mary's-CA

Moraga, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Sam Dower Jr. registered a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds as the Gonzaga Bulldogs made easy work of the Saint Mary's Gaels in a 75-47 decision in West Coast Conference play at McKeon Pavilion.

Also scoring in double figures for the Bulldogs (25-6, 15-3 WCC), who clinched the regular-season title in the WCC for the 17th time, were David Stockton and Przemek Karnowski with 10 points apiece.

The Gaels (21-10, 11-7) had just a single player in double figures in the dismal outing, as Stephen Holt tallied 10 points thanks to a perfect 10-of-10 effort at the free-throw line. Holt missed all six of his field goal chances as the starting five for SMC combined to shoot a mere 2-of-21 from the floor.

In one of the worst game for the Gaels in recent memory, the team shot a horrendous 5-of-27 from the field in the first half, including 2-of-9 behind the 3-point line, en route to a 42-22 deficit at the break. Gonzaga knocked down 53.1 percent from the field in the opening frame.

After converting only 18.5 percent from the floor through the first 20 minutes, the Gaels improved slightly to 28.0 percent (7-of-25), but in no way was that going to change the outcome as the Bulldogs pushed their lead as high as 34.

In addition to winning the battle of the boards by a 42-30 margin, Gonzaga also outscored the hosts in the paint, 42-14.
