NCAA Game Summary - Oregon State at USC

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Roberto Nelson paced four teammates in double figures with 14 points, as the Oregon State Beavers held off the USC Trojans, 76-66, in a Pac-12 Conference showdown at the Galen Center.

Angus Brandt made all eight of his free-throw attempts for Oregon State (15-12, 7-8 Pac-12), which has won two of three. Devon Collier added 12 points, Langston Morris-Walker netted 11 and Eric Moreland ripped down 14 rebounds.

For USC (10-18, 1-14), losers of nine in a row, J.T. Terrell led all scorers with 21 points.

Oregon State opened up a commanding 43-20 lead at intermission after shooting a lofty 53.6 percent from the field in the opening 20 minutes, compared to a mere 29 percent for USC.

The Beavers' advantage swelled to as many as 26 midway through the frame, but the Trojans would not go quietly, as their deficit was only five, 69-64, with 1:44 left. However, Oregon State put a stamp on the victory by shooting 6-of-8 at the free-throw line in the final minute.

Oregon State earned a 39-31 rebounding advantage and outscored USC at the free-throw line, 20-12.
