NCAA Game Summary - Air Force at Wyoming

Laramie, WY (SportsNetwork.com) - Tre' Coggins scored a game-high 20 points as the Air Force Falcons held on for the 55-53 win over the Wyoming Cowboys in Mountain West Conference play at Arena Auditorium.

Also scoring in double figures for the Falcons (11-15, 5-10) was Max Yon with 14 points, to go along with six rebounds, but also six turnovers as the team snapped a two-game slide.

The Cowboys (17-11, 8-7), losers of two straight, were paced by Nathan Sobey with 18 points, Jerron Granberry 14 and Josh Adams 11 points, while Derek Cooke Jr. came off the bench to offer up seven points and a game-high 11 rebounds in the setback.

Both teams struggled from the floor in the first half, the Cowboys making a total of only eight field goals and the visitors nine baskets, allowing the Falcons to grab a 27-23 advantage at the break. Wyoming didn't do itself any favors with just 1-of-7 shooting beyond the arc and 6-of-12 at the free-throw line.

In the second half the Pokes connected on 12 field goals, but again had issues on the perimeter (3-of-13), as Air Force slipped by for the rare conference road win.

The Falcons, who survived 15 turnovers, held a 37-29 rebounding advantage and also outscored the hosts at the charity stripe, 16-9.
