NCAA Game Summary - Alabama at Texas A&M

College Station, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Jamal Jones scored 19 points and pulled down five rebounds as the Texas A&M Aggies handled the Alabama Crimson Tide, 63-48, in a Southeastern Conference bout at Reed Arena.

Alex Caruso chipped in 14 points in for Texas A&M (15-11, 6-7 SEC), and Antwan Space grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds in the win. The Aggies have won two of their last three games played.

Trevor Releford led all scorers in the contest with 20 points for Alabama (10-16, 4-9), hitting 7-of-14 shooting, including 3-of-7 from 3-point distance. Shannon Hale chipped in 12 points with a team-high nine rebounds in the loss, which was the team's sixth in its last seven outings.

Texas A&M came out cold in the first half, hitting just 29 percent of its field goal attempts in the frame, and held just a one-point lead over Alabama, 24-23, at the end of the first period. Alabama hit 33.3 percent from the floor in the period.

The Aggies caught fire out of the locker room, hitting 55.6 percent of their tries, including 4-of-9 from 3-point range. The Tide connected on 42.1 percent of their shots, but went just 3-of-10 from deep. A&M outscored Alabama 39-25 in the second to coast to victory.

The Aggies outscored the Tide in the paint, 32-18, and had the edge in second chance points, 16-4.
