NCAA Game Summary - Ole Miss at Alabama

Tuscaloosa, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Trevor Releford drained a 3-pointer with less than second to play as the Alabama Crimson Tide stunned the Ole Miss Rebels, 67-64, in a SEC thriller at Coleman Coliseum.

Releford finished with a game-high 26 points for Alabama (10-14, 4-7 SEC), which snapped a four-game losing streak. Nick Jacobs added 18 points, Shannon Hale chipped in 15 and Rodney Cooper cleared 10 boards.

Marshall Henderson paced Ole Miss (16-8, 7-4) with 14 points, although he connected on just 4-of-15 from the floor. Anthony Perez tacked on 13 points and LaDarius White tallied 10 points and eight rebounds. The Rebels had won two of their previous three games.

The Crimson Tide entered halftime leading, 33-26. They connected on 44.8 percent from the field in the first half, while limiting Ole Miss to 32.1 percent.

The Rebels improved to 42.9 percent shooting in the second period, while Alabama slowed to 37.9 percent. However, the Crimson Tide had a 64-58 lead with just over a minute to play. Ole Miss rallied, with Henderson nailing a 3- pointer and Jarvis Summers hitting a pair of free-throws in the final minute to tie the game at 64-64. Releford then saved Alabama from overtime with his last-second heroics.

Alabama outscored Ole Miss, 34-18, in the paint. The Rebels also had a 42-34 edge on the glass.
