NCAA Game Summary - Florida Atlantic at Marshall

Huntington, WV (SportsNetwork.com) - Justin Raffington logged a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Florida Atlantic Owls knocked off the Marshall Thundering Herd, 65-57, in a Conference USA tilt at Cam Henderson Center.

Raffington shot 8-of-9 from the field for the Owls (8-14, 3-4 C-USA), who returned to the win column after dropping back-to-back games. Pablo Bertone tallied 20 points.

Chris Thomas scored 16 points for the Thundering Herd (8-15, 2-6), who have lost six of their last eight. Ryan Taylor added 14 points.

The Owls started the game with 53.8 percent accuracy from the field in the first half, compared to their opponent's 40 percent. At halftime, it was 34-25 in favor of FAU.

In the second half, the Owls dipped to 52.4 percent from the floor, holding off the Herd who shot 37.9 percent, including just 4-of-15 from 3-point range. The largest lead for FAU was by 14 points with 8:27 to play.

The Owls outscored the Herd 24-12 in points off turnovers in the victory.
