NCAA Game Summary - George Washington at George Mason

Fairfax, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kevin Larsen and Joe McDonald scored 14 points apiece, as the George Washington Colonials outlasted the George Mason Patriots, 75-69, in Atlantic 10 action at the Patriot Center.

Isaiah Armwood added 12 points, and Maurice Creek (seven assists) and Patricio Garino each scored 11 for the Colonials (16-3, 4-1 A-10), winners of four straight.

Johnny Williams tallied 18 points and seven rebounds off the bench to pace the Patriots (7-13, 0-6), who have now lost seven straight and 11 of their last 13 games. Jalen Jenkins recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards, while reserve Patrick Holloway scored 11 in the loss.

The first half featured two ties and 11 lead changes, as George Mason claimed a narrow 30-29 halftime lead behind a 52-percent shooting effort from the floor.

However, the Colonials shot lights out in the second stanza as they were 18- of-27 from the floor (.667) and 4-of-8 (.500) from beyond the arc.

GW, which led by as many as 16, committed only nine turnovers for the game.
