6-12 Florida Atlantic shocks 14-2 Harvard in Boca Raton

Boca Raton, FL - Marquan Botley nailed six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 23 points as the Florida Atlantic Owls knocked off the Harvard Crimson 68-53 in a non-conference bout at FAU Arena.

Pablo Bertone added 17 points for FAU (7-12), which has won three of its last four.

Wesley Saunders, Siyani Chambers and Zena Edosomwan each netted 11 points for Harvard (14-3).

The Owls led 29-20 at halftime after shooting 47.8 percent from the floor, while holding Crimson to 16.7 percent, in the first period,.

In the second half FAU connected on 46.2 percent from the floor, including 5- of-9 from beyond the arc to pull away for the win. Harvard shot at just a 29 percent clip in the final 20 minutes.

FAU won despite being outscored 12-8 off of turnovers. However, the Owls had the edge on points in the paint (24-18).
