NCAA Game Summary - Elon at Florida Atlantic

Boca Raton, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jack Isenbarger provided a spark off the bench with 18 points as the Elon Phoenix defeated the Florida Atlantic Owls, 67-62, in non-conference action at FAU Arena.

Sebastian Koch added 14 points to help Elon (7-6) win its second game in a row to climb back over the .500 mark. Lucas Troutman posted eight points and eight rebounds for the visitors.

Pablo Betrone led the way for FAU (3-10) with 17 points, but he hit on only 7- of-22 shots from the field. Marquan Botley chipped in 12 points and Justin Raffington recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 boards in the Owls' fourth consecutive loss.

The Phoenix took a 40-27 lead into the intermission after they connected on 39.4 percent of their field goal attempts and 10-of-13 tries at the free-throw line in the opening 20 minutes of the contest. FAU made only one of its nine shots from behind the 3-point line in the first stanza.

The Owls fought back after the break despite shooting just 37.8 percent from the floor in the second period. Although FAU attempted 18 more field goals than the visitors over the final 20 minutes, Elon converted 9-of-10 tries at the charity stripe to hold on for the victory.

The Phoenix finished 8-of-20 from beyond the arc and also sank 19 of their 23 free-throw attempts. FAU made only 4-of-22 from 3-point range.
