NCAA Game Summary - TCU at Washington State

Pullman, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kyan Anderson knocked down two free throws with five seconds to play to lift the TCU Horned Frogs to a 64-62 triumph over the Washington State Cougars in a non-league battle at Beasley Coliseum.

Anderson, Jarvis Ray and Amric Fields each finished with 16 points for TCU (2-2).

DaVonte Lacy scored a game-high 18 points for Washington State (2-2). Royce Woolridge added 13 points, Dexter Kernich-Drew tacked on 12 and D.J. Shelton had 11 rebounds and nine points.

In the first half TCU hit 66.7 percent of its shots from the field while Washington State hit on just 26.7 percent. TCU led, 36-25, at the break.

The Cougars came storming back by netting 8-of-16 shots from beyond the arc in the final period. The eighth 3-pointer came with 14 seconds to play when Lacy knocked down a shot from beyond the arc to tie the game at 62-62. Anderson was fouled on the other end and calmly hit the two free-throws to give the Horned Frogs a two-point lead. The Cougars had a shot to send the game to overtime but Fields blocked a layup attempt from Lacy to finish off the win for TCU.

TCU beat up on the Cougars in the paint, with a 34-10 scoring advantage down low. The Cougars scored 20 points off turnovers.
