NCAA Game Summary - Stony Brook vs. Florida Atlantic

Detroit, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Jameel Warney put together a huge double- double with 23 points and 19 rebounds as the Stony Brook Seawolves slipped by the Florida Atlantic Owls, 67-61, as part of the 2K Sports Classic at Calihan Hall.

Also scoring in double figures for the Seawolves (4-2) were Eric McAllister and Dave Coley with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

The Owls (1-5) were paced by Jackson Trapp with 20 points, followed by Pablo Bertone with 11 and five assists. Coming up a point shy of a double-double was Dragan Sekelja who captured 17 rebounds.

FAU shot only 8-of-26 from the field in the first half, but five of those conversions took place behind the 3-point line and the team also sank 10-of-14 at the free-throw line, compared to 9-of-21 at the stripe for Stony Brook. After 20 minutes of action the Owls trailed by just a single point, 32-31.

In the second half FAU dipped to a disappointing 29.7 percent from the field and 5-of-19 (.263) on the perimeter as the Seawolves pulled away for the win.

Stony Brook outscored the Owls at the charity stripe, 22-13.
