Weber State runs away from Antelope Valley in 128-65 win

OGDEN, Utah (AP) Jeremy Senglin scored 24 points-18 from 3-point range-as Weber State handled NAIA-member Antelope Valley 128-65 on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

Senglin scored all his points in the first half. Weber State tied a school record for single-game point total. Antelope Valley never led. The Wildcats led 59-27 at the half.

Richaud Gittens' layup off a steal gave Weber State an 84-39 lead with 11:26 remaining. Gittens finished 7-for-8 from the floor and had 19 points for the Wildcats who are favored to win the Big Sky Conference.

Weber State shot 48-for-69 from the floor (69.6 percent) and was 16 for 24 (66.7) from 3-point range. The Wildcats were 16-for-23 from the free throw line.

Terrence Blum led the Pioneers with 14 points. Antelope Valley shot 25-for-71 from the floor (35.2).
