Celtics' Crowder to rest vs. Warriors

Boston Celtics small forward Jae Crowder will not play in Friday night's contest against the Golden State Warriors.

Crowder returned to Boston's lineup on Thursday night after missing the previous eight games with a sprained ankle. The Marquette product finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 34 minutes of action.

The 25-year-old is averaging 14.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.8 steals on 45 percent shooting and 34.5 percent from beyond the arc this season.

Down one of their best players, the Celtics will try to end the Warriors' 54-game home winning streak at Oracle Arena on Friday.
