Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr sounded a tad more optimistic Tuesday about when 2015 NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala will return to the lineup than he did over the weekend.

Prior to Sunday's 117-105 win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Kerr said Iguodala was still "a ways away from playing." The 32-year-old veteran has been sidelined with an ankle injury he suffered March 11 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Tuesday, with the Washington Wizards in town, Kerr was asked again about Iguodala's timetable, saying he expects the 12-year pro back on the floor "in about a week," according to Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears.

Iguodala is averaging 7.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 26.8 minutes off the bench this season, with the team going 11-2 when he doesn't play.
