Carter (calf) will not play in Thursday's game against the Bucks, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Analysis:

Earlier Thursday, coach Dave Joerger said he expected Carter to sit out, so it comes as no surprise that he'll remain sidelined against the Bucks. It's his fourth consecutive game missed, which should continue to open minutes for the likes of Matt Barnes and Lance Stephenson. His next opportunity to return will be Saturday against the Clippers.
