A split between the New Orleans Pelicans and soon-to-be unrestricted free agent Ryan Anderson seems inevitable.

Anderson, who's played in New Orleans over the past four seasons, says he hasn't had any talks with Pelicans management in regards to the offseason.

"No conversations at all about it," Anderson said of his interactions with general manager Dell Demps, according to John Reid of NOLA.com.

"Obviously I think they are in the same boat, so many things can happen they may have multiple pieces they are thinking about. A lot of stuff that I don't know about obviously that they talk about behind close doors. So I haven't communicated at all with them."

It appears the two sides are fated to part ways this summer. The Pelicans reportedly discussed trades involving Anderson with no less than four teams at the trade deadline, and despite no deal being made, it evidently wasn't through a lack of trying.

Across 59 games this season, with just seven appearances as a starter, Anderson is averaging 16.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 37.9 percent from deep. He profiles as one of the best stretch-fours in the league and a prolific backup.
