Alonzo Gee is expected to start at shooting guard Thursday against Oklahoma City.

Gee is expected to start at shooting guard Thursday against Oklahoma City, Pelicans radio announcer Sean Kelley reports.

Analysis:

With the Pelicans releasing a statement Thursday announcing that Bryce Dejean-Jones would undergo surgery on his broken wrist Friday, Gee is the likeliest candidate to take over at shooting guard against the Thunder. In 34 starts this season, Gee's numbers haven't been overly impressive. He has averaged 4.0 points and 3.1 rebounds in those contests and figures to be reinserted into the starting lineup for Thursday.
