Donatas Motiejunas: Trade voided, headed back to Houston

Motiejunas (back) will rejoin the Rockets after the trade that sent him to the Pistons last week was voided Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Worries about Motiejunas' ongoing back injury are what prompted the voiding, as the Pistons were simply too concerned about his long-term health to sign off on the deal. It's a bit of a messy situation for the three teams -- the Pistons, the Rockets, and the 76ers -- involved in last Thursday's deal, but all three players who were on the move will return to their original teams. That means Motiejunas and Marcus Thornton will go back to the Rockets, while Joel Anthony will return to the Pistons after Houston had subsequently shipped him to the 76ers after acquiring him. The 76ers will also get the second-round pick it traded for Anthony back from the Rockets.
