Hornets' Walker ruled out against Cavaliers

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Kemba Walker has been ruled out of action Wednesday night when the Charlotte Hornets face the Cleveland Cavaliers. The point guard is dealing with a sore left knee.

It's not great news for Charlotte against the conference-leading Cavs, as Walker leads the team in scoring, steals, and 3-point shooting. A deserving All-Star this season, Walker is averaging a career-high 20.2 points per game. Despite that, the UConn product had a rough night Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers, shooting 3-for-14.

Despite the bad news, some good news for the Hornets can be found in the availability of Jeremy Lamb. The shooting guard has missed nine of the last 10 games with a toe injury.

Big man Cody Zeller has also been cleared to play by the Hornets after missing six games with a shoulder injury.
