Rudy Gay: Will not play Thursday

Gay (heel) has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Hawks, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.

Analysis:

Gay suffered the injury during Wednesday's outing versus the Lakers and it will now force him to remain sidelined Thursday. With Gay sitting out, look for the likes of Omri Casspi, Marco Belinelli and Quincy Acy to see a slight increase in minutes. The severity of the injury remains unclear, so he'll be evaluated on a game-to-game basis until otherwise noted.
