Spurs' Aldridge out against Lakers with back spasms

LaMarcus Aldridge will not suit up for the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night against the Los Angeles Lakers due to back spasms.

Aldridge missed two games in November with an ankle sprain and has appeared in 40 of the Spurs' 43 games going into Friday. He's had rough outings in two of his last three contests, playing in foul trouble against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Jan. 17 and scoring only seven points against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday.

Aldridge is the Spurs' leading rebounder and second on the team in scoring. His turn to sit comes as the team gets Tony Parker and Tim Duncan back in action in L.A.
