Report: Wizards' Anderson out another 3-5 weeks

There's no end in sight for the Washington Wizards' injury woes.

As Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post reports, veteran shooting guard Alan Anderson will miss another three-to-five weeks on account of his ankle injury.

He's not expected to return until late-January or early-February.

Anderson, who signed a one-year, $4-million deal in the offseason, has yet to make his debut for the Wizards. He underwent ankle surgery to remove bone spurs in October, and was only recently cleared for on-court activities.

The 6-foot-6 Anderson was supposed to give the Wizards depth in the backcourt as a dependable two-way guard who could play at shooting guard and small forward. Instead, his injury has kept him out at a time when the Wizards need him most.

Starter Bradley Beal is once again out with a leg injury, while Nene, Martell Webster, Drew Gooden, and Otto Porter have all missed time.
