Al Jefferson: Ruled out Sunday with calf strain

Jefferson (calf) was ruled out from returning to Sunday's game against the Bucks, Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Analysis:

The decision doesn't come as a surprise after Jefferson was initially listed as doubtful to return upon straining his left calf in the first half. The Hornets came out of halftime with Cody Zeller as their center, and he figures to see the bulk of the time at the position the rest of the game while Jefferson is sidelined. Frank Kaminsky and Spencer Hawes should also absorb some of Jefferson's minutes.
