Nemanja Bjelica: Expected to play Sunday

Bjelica (knee) is expected to return to action Sunday against the Clippers, Darren Wolfson of KSTP-TV reports.

Analysis:

After taking off the previous four games to recover from a left knee contusion, Bjelica looks like he'll be back in the mix off the bench, absorbing most of the minutes that have been going to Adreian Payne and Damjan Rudez in recent days. At one point this season the Serbian rookie was seeing 20-plus minutes with regularity, but the Timberwolves had downsized his role prior to the injury. He'll likely have to settle for minutes in the teens initially, but if he's able to quickly put the knee concern behind him and reemerge as a sharpshooter from the outside, he could see his playing time pick up.
