Stephen Curry, Paul George named as Players of the Month
Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry and Indiana Pacers forward Paul George were named as the players of the month for November.
Despite strong competition from the likes of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and Blake Griffin, there simply wasn't anyone that came close to replicating Curry's dominance to start the season.
Curry averaged 31.6 points, six assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.5 steals in 34.4 minutes per game in November as he guided the Warriors to a perfect 20-0 record (16-0 in November). He smashed his own record for month 3-pointers in a month (77) and has six 40-point performances to his name, including a league-best 53-point outburst.
Over in the East, George scored 27.2 points per game to help the red-hot Pacers win 11 of their last 13 games following an 0-3 start. He's adjusted beautifully to playing as a part-time power forward and he's added on 8.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.6 steals to his sparkling stat line.
George has especially heated up of late, as he's topped the 30-point plateau in five of his team's last six games. His dominance has the Pacers a half-game behind the Cleveland Cavaliers for first in the East while holding the best scoring margin (plus-6.6) in the conference.
