Wizards' Beal returns to practice, listed as questionable Saturday

Bradley Beal had his early-season breakout interrupted by a shoulder injury, but he's nearing a return to the court after a three-game absence.

The ascendant Washington Wizards shooting guard took part in a portion of practice Friday, and is listed as questionable for Saturday night's game against the Detroit Pistons.

In his fourth season, the 22-year-old is averaging 22.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists through six games, while shooting 48.6 percent from the field and a remarkable 47.1 percent from 3-point range. He also handed the San Antonio Spurs one of only two losses they've suffered this season when he buried a game-winning, buzzer-beating triple earlier this month.

Injuries, however, continue to plague Beal, who's missed 22 percent of the Wizards' regular-season games since they drafted him third overall in 2012.
