VIDEO: Grizzlies can't stop streaking Westbrook

Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes did exactly what coaches hate to see when an opponent is soaring toward the hoop.

As Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Anthony Morrow dished the ball to Russell Westbrook - who was preparing to launch himself toward the basket for a patented power layup - Barnes reached out and fouled the Thunder star ever so softly.

The result: an and-1 opportunity for the Grizzlies' opponents.

Grizzlies head coach Dave Joerger likely would have preferred that Barnes - known for his savvy, aggressive defense - wrap Westbrook up, preventing the four-time All-Star from getting a shot up while being fouled.

On this occasion in Monday's game, Barnes failed to adhere to his new team's "Grit and Grind" mantra.
