Knicks' Afflalo out again Wednesday vs. Cavs

William Hauser / USA TODAY Sports

New York Knicks shooting guard Arron Afflalo will once again be held out of the lineup when the Knicks take on the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday, the team announced.

Afflalo, who signed with the Knicks as a free agent this summer, has yet to make his season debut after suffering a strained left hamstring during the preseason.

The 30-year-old is New York's clear-cut starter at the two spot when available, leaving the Knicks to lean on Sasha Vujacic through the first four games of the season.

Afflalo, a consistent 3-and-D threat from the wings when healthy, averaged a disappointing 10.6 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.1 assists on a pedestrian true shooting percentage of 53.3 with the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers last season.
