Ross agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract extension with the Raptors on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Ross is being used as a backup this season after working mainly as a starter the last couple years, but he is off to a good start, averaging 12.3 points on 52 percent shooting. He will continue playing off the bench as long as DeMar DeRozan and DeMarre Carroll are healthy, but the Raptors are banking on him being a key role player over the next few seasons.
