VIDEO: Hawks' Horford blocks Hawes, finishes 1-man fastbreak

Centers standing 6-foot-10 and weighing 250 pounds shouldn't be able to move up and down the floor as effortlessly as Atlanta Hawks big man Al Horford does.

Against the Hawks on Sunday, Charlotte Hornets center Spencer Hawes let fly from 3-point range, only to have Horford swoop in and swat the attempt away.

Grabbing the loose ball, the three-time All-Star bolted up the court with Hawes on his tail, and finished the play with a contested layup as point Jeremy Lin looked to block him at the rim.

Horford finished tied for 23rd in the league last season with 98 total rejections (1.3 per game).
