Nuggets' Chandler could miss 1-2 weeks with hip injury

The Denver Nuggets already knew they would be without Wilson Chandler for Wednesday's season opener against the Houston Rockets. Now it sounds as though the veteran forward is slated to miss more time.

Chandler said the injury isn't serious, but could sideline him for one-to-two weeks, according to Chris Dempsey of The Denver Post.

Chandler, who will share Denver's minutes at the three with Danilo Gallinari, averaged 13.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists on an effective field-goal percentage of 50 last season, earning himself a four-year, $46-million extension during the offseason.

Swingman Will Barton will likely see extra time while the Nuggets are without Chandler, who also logged some spot time at power forward and shooting guard in 2014-15.
