Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg indicated that Gibson is expected to sit out at least the first two preseason games as he continues to work his way back from offseason arthroscopic surgery on the ankle. The decision to rest the big man seems precautionary, so he's still considered likely to suit up for the Oct. 27 regular-season opener versus Cleveland.
