PHOTO: LeBron 'so hyped' for season, shouts out Love, Irving

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Cavaliers' first season with LeBron James headlining a big three with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love didn't end as they hoped. The point guard and power forward both went down for good in the postseason, leaving James to carry the Cavs as far as he could - a 4-2 series loss to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.

Yet the tantalizing possibilities of what the trio can do when healthy remain, and James is excited about it, taking to Instagram Sunday night.

After a bumpy 19-20 start that had some writing off Love as a sidekick for LeBron and others calling for coach David Blatt's head, the Cavs went 34-9 the rest of the way - then 14-6 in the postseason. Many have theorized that a healthy Irving and Love would've altered their Finals result against the Warriors.

That's why the Cavaliers are Vegas favorites heading into 2015-16, and with some depth additions (although Tristan Thompson remains unsigned) and a logical pledge to manage James and Irving's minutes, their odds are good to end the city of Cleveland's 52-year professional sports championship drought.

That alone is something for a Northeast Ohio native to be excited about.
